2011 Pui O Beach Hat Tournament

Last year HKUPA hosted the 2010 Survivor Castaway 1! Beach Ultimate Hat Tournament with big success and over 70 participants from Shen Zhen, Zhu Hai, Macau, Guang Zhou join together had loads of fun.
This year, with the generous support from Oh La La! Beach Restaurant & Bar and Treasure Island HK, Ultimate will fly round Pui O Beach on Sunday 11th September 2011 to continue our Survivor Castaway with more adventure. Come join us!
For those new to the sport of Ultimate, a Hat Tournament is a unique way of making sure that everybody has an equal chance of being on the winning team. Everybody who registers is placed into a pool of people, and teams of equivalent ability are selected accordingly.

Registration Fee
1. Registration fee will be paid in advance by cash to TD Sunny Wong, Beach Tournament Organizing Team Derek Cheng, Eugenia Chapman, Katherine Ng or Bank in HKUPA HSBC account: 809-499-338-001
2. The Registration fee will be HK$150 per adult player or
3. HK$100 for Full-Time Students and U19s.
4. $50 additional administration fee is payable on the day.
5. Your fee will include light Breakfast, Lunch, Water, Ice & Beer.
6. Players must be age 14 or over (Please note that U16 must be accompanied by a Parent/Guardian).
Start time: Registration starts at 9am
Shirts: Please bring both white & red (or dark) shirt. (NO GREY / BEIGE)
Footwear: Playing in bare feet or socks is preferable, Crocs or similar attire is allowed. Running shoes, plimsoles, sneakers etc are not permitted.
In the event of dispute the tournament director will wear the item whilst walking on your bare foot - if you don't cry, you can wear it :)
Food: Breakfast & Lunch will be provided.
Water Bottle: We will provide water in a water dispenser – please bring your own container to drink out of.
Sunscreen: We may be lucky with the weather and it’s a long day, make sure you are well protected.
Dinner: Will not be included.
Camping: Facilities will be available for rental at the site. $250 will include a 2-man tent (includes set up). You can also bring your own tent and rent their space for $100, or camp on the beach!
Room Rental: There are 3 rooms for rental.
Room A: a 2 person bed, Room B: 2 single bed, and Room C: a queen bed.
Day time from 10am -6pm: Room A & B is $500 each, Room C is $600
Night time ( no individual booking )should need booked with Day time, check out before 10am: Room A & B : extra $300 each, Room C : extra $500
Directions:
Ferry: From Central (Pier 6) on Hong Kong Island to Mui Wo and then bus. At Mui Wo ferry pier: Bus (No. 1 or 4) or Taxi (phone: 2984 1328)
Bus: From Tung Chung to Mui Wo (3M)
Exit bus at the Pui O school (do not miss it this is the last one in Pui O coming from Mui Wo or the first one coming from Tung Chung)

For beginners - Don't worry, just read "10 Easy Steps" and your teammates will teach you the rest. The first few games will be very relaxed while new players are learning.
