2012 HKUPA Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Date: Feb 26th (Sunday)

(Time and Location TBA)

Over the past few years HKUPA saw a broader membership, saw the formation of national team and other teams to play in various tournaments, in which they achieved good results, launched a number of promotions in local communities, and caught a lot of media attention.

Another exciting year is ahead of us. We are calling for AGM to see how the association can be run even better. The HKUPA committee has compiled a new "Article of Association" and figured out the following positions, which we reckon will help running the association more efficiently:

•         President
•         Vice-President
•         Secretary
•         Treasurer
•         Training Director
•         Membership Director
•         League Director
•         Activity Director
•         Communications Director
•         Development Director

If you’re interested to step up and answer the above calls, now it is your chance.  After reading the attached Articles, please nominate yourself by emailing to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

If you are a member but you don't have spare time to run for a position, you can still show your support by attending the AGM and casting your vote. For members who cannot attend the AMG, online voting will begin on Tuesday Feb 21st, when all candidates are made known.

Only paid members have the right to vote.

For more information on the voting mechanism, please read section 6 in the AOA.

Further details on AGM agenda and candidates will come in the next week.

Looking forward to a more exciting and fruitful 2012,

Ultimate love,

Apple Chapman (the President) and the HKUPA Committee
